Job: Risk Analyst

Analyst required for entry-level risk management position at WR Capital Management in Stamford, Connecticut.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to, the:

 

§         Production of risk reports and ad-hoc queries

§         Design, analysis, and development of data parsing, report writing, and database management routines

§         Maintenance of a security master and other database tables in multiple systems

§         Position and trade reconciliation

§         Interaction with the operations functions of prime-brokers and investment managers

§         Daily interaction with the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Risk Officer

 

The successful candidate will have:

 

  • A relevant college degree demonstrating knowledge of mathematics and statistics
  • Documented hands-on programming experience in (most of) C# & .NET, MS-SQL Server, Transact SQL
  • Strong user experience of S+/R, MS Excel, Crystal Report, and Bloomberg (terminals and API)
  • A strong understanding of a broad range of financial concepts and products
  • Good communication skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • A quantitative bent and intellectual curiosity and be a self-starter with a desire to learn
  • US residency – no exceptions

 

Additional skills and experiences that would be a plus are:

 

  • Ability and experience of financial modeling
  • Background in the finance/banking industry
