Working as a specialist in historical fundamental financial data, the position will involve the proactive support, maintenance and relationship management of existing clients to retain and expand the customer base within the Northeastern U.S.



Accountabilities:

  • Relationship development, day to day point of contact for existing clients.

  • Maintain constant contact with existing clients to ensure training needs are met and continuously adding value to end users.

  • Minimization of cancellations through proactive contact of clients.

  • Assist sales by performing installations, template building, training and support to new and prospective clients.

  • Responsible for migrating clients to new product versions. Identify clients to be migrated based on criteria from Product Management and Sales, contact the clients, get them to agree to the implementation schedule, hand-hold them through the process and deal with any issues, coordinate responses about the migration and circulate feedback to product management and relevant departments.

  • Continue to build user relationships by providing continuous updates of product enhancements.

  • Gather intelligence and communicate internally to identify opportunities to contribute to revenue retention and growth.

  • Key contact on gathering and presenting feedback on product needs to product management, data teams and other relevant departments.

  • Specialist product knowledge. Work with sales team by performing product demonstrations and support to new and prospective clients.

  • Assume ownership of all client issues and do whatever necessary to resolve to the client’s satisfaction.

  • Sales/contract processing: contract creation. Sales order entry and progression to fulfillment.

  • Create and complete a timely and accurate log of all relevant activities/opportunities for you and on behalf of the Sales team in CRM database Salesforce.com.

  • Attend conferences and seminars to give product demonstrations and to help sales identify new business opportunities.

  • Prepare timely and accurate client/account activity summaries for management.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a numerate discipline such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience is required. CFA charterholder/candidate a plus.

  • Sound IT knowledge.

  • Highly proficient in Excel; Visual Basic and SQL knowledge a plus.

  • Knowledge of working with relational databases.

  • Strong understanding of Fundamental Data.

  • Understanding of quantitative techniques such as backtesting.

  • Experience of using financial software applications.

  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly with large groups of people face to face and at a distance (using Webex).

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Ability to self-start, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities is essential.

  • Positive and proactive approach.

  • Team player willing to take on a wide variety of tasks.

  • Knowledge of Compustat or similar financial databases/applications.

  • Ability and willingness to travel.
