Quantitative Equity Research Analyst

systematic equity, traditional equity, and income and growth
strategies.
The firm has been managing quantitative equity strategies since 1990. The Systematic Research & Investment team works in a highly entrepreneurial, collaborative research environment where on-going management of portfolios provides valuable feedback into the research process.
Our firm invites qualified applicants to apply for a quantitative equity research analyst position on the Systematic Research & Investment Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Undertake quantitative research on stock selection factors and alpha models.

Participate in the daily management of quantitative equity portfolios with other members of the Systematic Research & Investment team.

Implement improvements to all phases of the investment process – return forecasting, portfolio construction, and trading.

Help maintain research infrastructure and model production.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
-
MS/PhD in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.

At least 3 years of experience developing and implementing quantitative stock selection models at an investment management firm or academic institution.

In-depth knowledge of current academic and practitioner finance and accounting literature.

Proficiency in SAS, SQL, and shell scripting in a Unix environment.

Experience with financial databases such as IBES, First Call, Worldscope, Compustat, and Datastream. Prior experience with MarketQA is a plus.
